NI is an LED parasol that is equipped with two downlights and an uplight. The atmospheric lighting can be controlled via a one touch dimmer. The parasol can be illuminated when open as well as closed. The light output offers enough luminosity for larger areas. Power is supplied by a 12 volts LED output driver or, alternatively, batteries with a run time of up to six hours. Due to its heavy linen fabric, the parasol provides good UV protection.

NI is an innovative combination of parasol and garden torch, which realizes the adaptability of modern furniture. Integrating a classic parasol with one-touch lighting system, NI Parasol enhances the quality of the public environment, from morning to night. The proprietary finger-sensing OTC (one-touch dimmer) allows people to adjust the brightness of the 3-channel lighting system at ease. NI also adopts a low-voltage 12V LED driver that generates very little heat, providing an energy-efficient power supply for a system with over 2000 pcs of 0.1W LEDs. The combination of a traditional umbrella structure and modern technology makes desired lighting adjustments at ease.NI is also an environmental friendly product that with only 2424 pieces built-in LEDs, it can cover almost 6 square meter area. People no longer need to spend extra money on setting up outdoor lighting as NI is going to play multiple roles.

In the current competition, the international experts discussed and evaluated 4,81Bronze A' Design Award Winner in Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design Category, 2013 - 2014.5 entries from 53 countries. But only designs which won over the jury with quality and innovative strength won an award. The NI LED Parasol by Excellent Limited was successful and received the coveted Red Dot quality seal as its deserved reward.
